She Means
Business Program
She Means Business is First Innovators’ First Nations women’s business and leadership program, delivered across Australia.
The program brings First Nations women together to strengthen their businesses, develop their leadership and build connections with other women, mentors, professionals and new opportunities.
More than 120 women have participated in She Means Business programs delivered in communities across South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Building businesses. Growing leadership. Creating opportunities for First Nations women.
Supporting Women in Business and Leadership
She Means Business creates a supportive environment where First Nations women can work on their businesses, build their skills and confidence, strengthen their leadership and connect with other women on similar journeys.
The program recognises that every woman and every business is different. Participants may be developing an idea, building an early stage business, growing an established business or exploring new opportunities.
We meet women where they are and provide practical support to help them move forward.
She Means Business can bring together a mix of practical business development, leadership, mentoring and connection, including:
What’s Involved
Building a business is about more than understanding business plans, marketing and finances.
She Means Business also creates opportunities for women to build confidence, strengthen their leadership, share experiences and learn from each other.
The relationships created through the program can be just as important as the workshops, providing participants with new networks, support and connections that can continue beyond the program.
More Than Business Skills
Participants have opportunities to connect with First Nations businesswomen, entrepreneurs, mentors, professionals and other people who can share their experience and knowledge.
This gives women the opportunity to learn from others who understand the realities of building a business, ask questions, explore challenges and develop new connections.
Learning From Experience
She Means Business is designed to help women build stronger businesses while creating broader opportunities for leadership, connection and growth.
More than 120 First Nations women have already participated in our women’s business programs across South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
As we continue delivering She Means Business across Australia, we want to create opportunities for more First Nations women to build businesses, strengthen their leadership and connect with the people, resources and opportunities that can help them grow.
Creating Impact
Help us create the next opportunity for First Nations Women.
First Innovators works with businesses, government, funders, organisations and communities to bring She Means Business to communities across Australia.
Programs can be tailored around the women involved, their businesses, their community and the opportunities available, combining practical business development with leadership, mentoring, connection and real world opportunities.
Whether you want to bring She Means Business to your community, partner with us to deliver a program or help fund the next group of First Nations women, we would love to start the conversation.
Together, we can create more opportunities for First Nations women to build strong businesses, grow as leaders and create impact for themselves, their families and their communities.
Strong women. Strong businesses. Stronger communities.
