Who We Are?

First Innovators is an Aboriginal-led not-for-profit business working across Australia, strengthening community by creating opportunities through community building, business and development programs.

Our work supports the growth of ideas, builds connection, raises voices and creates meaningful impact in communities.

We were created to bring people together to build stronger, more connected communities, while also supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to start, grow and strengthen businesses and enterprises.

We back ideas and turn them into opportunities through programs and initiatives that support both community and economic development.

Our approach brings together community, business and culture. We create and deliver culturally inclusive programs that:

We understand the challenges and barriers faced by First Nations businesses and communities. Through lived experience and strong partnerships with First Nations communities and strategic partners, we work alongside individuals, communities and organisations to create pathways to opportunity, including access to markets, funding, partnerships and new networks.

Storytelling is central to our work. We believe powerful stories connect people to purpose, passion and impact. We support communities, businesses and organisations to uncover, shape and elevate their stories so they can be seen, understood and create meaningful change.
